PROFILE After working as a nuclear power plant engineer, an English teacher and a technical translator, Mr. Obuchi began his career in the field of intellectual property at a patent firm in Nagoya in 2003. He moved to Tokyo in 2006 and has been working at Miyoshi & Miyoshi since 2008. His patent prosecution and translation practices mainly cover mechanical and electrical technologies including motor vehicles, computer software and hardware, optical devices, inorganic materials, medical devices as well as nuclear power plant systems. Aside from his work experience, he participated as a trombonist in the 4th annual CalArts (California Institute of the Arts) Jazz CD project in 1993.
